How to Use Dashicons in WordPress
From the WordPress 3.8 update, which was a long time ago now, Dashicons have been an icon pack that was included in WordPress by default. They can be seen in various links within the dashboard’s sidebar menu—both those which are a part of WordPress and those enabled by plugin and theme authors. The icons make the sidebar links more noticeable and easily recognizable.
While they are perfect for the WordPress backend area, Dashicons can also be used on the website’s frontend. You can add them to help highlight a specific text, button, menu item, section, or something else entirely.
