A website owner might, for various reasons, decide to create additional sites in the same domain. Usually, it is either to segment a subsection of a site (e.g. blog or a shop) or to make a testing environment. The former is done to improve the site’s structure and readability or to target a specific audience. The latter is done to allow for making or testing any site changes safely.
